Sometimes the idea of teaching your kids the Bible can feel overwhelming. When I think about planning Bible lessons I want to do it all. I want engaging lessons with discussions, crafts, prayer, and hands-on activities. I want my kids to really dig in, understand, and remember what I teach them. Occasionally I can pull this off, but it’s a lot of work. That’s why I’m so grateful for resources like HelloBible.
I was not financially compensated for this post, however I received a sample for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
What is HelloBible?
HelloBible is a subscription box full of hands-on lessons and activities to help parents teach their kids the Bible. The activities are designed for kids ages 5 and up, and my 5 and 6 year old loved it. Each month you’ll receive a box with a different theme, and our box was for the story of Esther.
What comes in a HelloBible Box?
As you can see, this box was jam packed with activities, lessons, and art supplies. Everything in the box has a purpose and it’s clear they put a lot of work into putting it all together. Included in our box was a welcome packet, a Bible story book, art projects and crafts with complete instructions and supplies, 2 Bible lessons, a memory verse card, and an activity page for the notebook included in the welcome packet. I love the welcome packet because it explains who they are and gives you a way to tie all of the lessons together in one place.
The Bible lessons and corresponding activities in this box are excellent. Not only do the lessons have discussion questions to help children understand the Bible story, but they also include prayer, fun facts, art projects, activities for the journal, and additional ideas to help kids learn and engage with the lesson.
As a parent I really appreciate how well written and designed these lessons are. It makes it a thousand times easier to teach my kids when I have step-by-step instructions and resources. My 5 and 6 year old had no problem following the detailed guides for each art project, and look how amazing they turned out!
The thing I appreciate the most about these lessons is that it all ties back to Jesus. They took the story of Esther and brought the ideas to life, laying it out in a way that kids can relate to and understand. As you go through this box, your kids will learn more than just a Bible story. They will learn to memorize scripture, to pray, to understand how God works and moves in our lives, and so much more.
